I visited the south west and I popped into RNLI shop and I didn’t see one life jacket or an insurance premium policy that you buy before going out to sea.

I really hope the RNLI does't lose their experienced hands in favour of technology. Looks like an amazing lifeboat...just hope they keep the old hands on with 1000's of hours of sea experience between them to operate them.

Thanks for that explanation. I'd like to add that the watertight crew compartment does not work alone in righting the boat. The mass of the boat below the waterline acts as a gravitational counterweight to the compartment to pivot the boat.
